The Committee considered an application for a retrospective change of use of Medical Centre (Use Class E) to Resource Centre for people with social care needs (Use Class C2) at Old Medical Centre, Egmanton Road, Meden Vale.
Since publication of the report correspondence had been received from No 20 Egmanton Road with concerns that a number of people were worried about the application and concerned that there had been no proper consultation.
In accordance with the Committee's Public Speaking procedure, the undermentioned spoke as indicated:

It was proposed by Councillor Drewett and seconded by Councillor Hanstock that Condition 4 be amended as follows:
The external recreational facilities shall not be used outside of the hours of 08:00 - 18:00 daily and there shall be no lighting erected to facilitate their use during hours of darkness.
The motion being put to the vote it was announced that the motion be carried unanimously.
Councillor Drewett proposed and Councillor Hanstock seconded that the application be granted planning permission with conditions as detailed in the report and with the proposed amendment to Condition 4.
The motion being put to the vote it was announced that the motion be carried by 8 votes for with 1 vote against and 0 abstentions.
