21/02AWARD OF A CONTRACT IN RESPECT OF THE SAUNDBY AVENUE HOUSING DEVELOPMENTAWARD OF A CONTRACT IN RESPECT OF THE SAUNDBY AVENUE HOUSING DEVELOPMENT

Due to technical difficulties the meeting was not streamed live and commenced at 9.35 am. The meeting was recorded and will be added to the Mansfield District Council Facebook page.

The Development Manager presented a summary of the Report. The Officer stated that the report sought the approval to award the contract for the demolition of the Saundby Avenue tenant meeting room and the development of four new Council homes to Robert Woodhead Ltd who had been procured through the Efficiency East Midlands framework.
The Officer advised that Robin Woodhead Ltd was a local company and employed 14 people within the district the Award of the Contract would contribute and benefit the local economy.
Recommendations were stated as:
(i) That a NEC Engineering and Construction Contract Version 4 – Option A for the demolition of the Saundby Avenue Tenant Meeting Room and the development of four Council homes is entered into with Robert Woodhead Ltd at a contract value of £757,915.07.

(ii) That the Development Manager is given authority to instruct the Shared Legal Team to draft and finalise the necessary contract documentation and to enter into any warranties and agreements that may reasonably be necessary to enable completion of the development.

The Head of Housing stated that the report had been read and considered and that the Head of Housing was satisfied with and would formally accept the recommendations and authorise the Decision Notice.

(i) That a NEC Engineering and Construction Contract Version 4 – Option A for the demolition of the Saundby Avenue Tenant Meeting Room and the development of four Council homes be entered into with Robert Woodhead Ltd at a contract value of £757,915.07.

(ii) That the Development Manager be given authority to instruct the Shared Legal Team to draft and finalise the necessary contract documentation and to enter into any warranties and agreements that may reasonably be necessary to enable completion of the development.
