The Senior Planning Officer presented a summary of the report to the Portfolio Holder for Regeneration and Growth.

The Portfolio Holder for Regeneration asked if the Waste and Recycling Sites located at Hermitage Lane would be protected under the Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Joint Waste Local Plan.
The Senior Planning Policy Officer confirmed that it would be protected.

The Portfolio Holder for Regeneration and Growth queried if it was likely that an Incinerator site would be sited in the Mansfield and Ashfield area.

The Senior Planning and Policy Officer advised that although included in the document that did not mean that an Incinerator site would be located in the Mansfield and Ashfield area.
The Head of Planning and Regeneration stated that if such a proposal came forward it would also be subject to relevant Environmental Legislation and tests.

The Portfolio Holder for Regeneration and Growth was satisfied with the report and appended comments and approved the comments for submission as Mansfield District Council's formal consultation response in respect of the Joint Draft Waste Local Plan.
